Spring Crab Apple - Flowering Around Last Year's Fruit

May 1 - Crab #111
My previous post showed a crab apple tree in late April, still heavy with crab apples from last year.  I wondered what would happen once the trees began to blossom again.  THIS is what happens!  Spring does not care if the trees are not done letting go of their apples.  It's time to Bloom!

I really enjoy the symbolic combination of blossoms and dying fruit, and I am particularly glad for how beautiful it is.

Don't forget to acknowledge the beauty of this time of year.  These blossom will be rotting in the grass within two weeks.

Minneapolis, MN, United States
Photographer/Artist based in Mpls, MN. I have a studio in the NE Arts District--Studio #274 at the Northrup King Bldg, 1500 Jackson St NE. I photograph elements of nature to explore color, shape, and composition. My goal is to capture images of the nature around me in a way that explodes (or seaps) with beauty. If that nature is in a vacant city lot, all the better. (All images Copyrighted. Use permitted with permission).
