Burning Bush (Tree)
Over Thanksgiving, I made the seasonal trip to the Chicagoland area. One of my favorite things to do there is get up early, head to Lake Michigan, and photographs the trees in this park in Evanston.
This is a Burning Bush. The branches have a distinctive look due to the blistered bark and he red fruit. I can't picture right now what they look like in bloom, but they are meant to resemble a burning bush, hence the name.
Another great thing about trees in Chicagoland...the crab apple trees have 3 inch thorns on them. Be sure to check out my next post.
