Crab Tree #140

Crab Tree #140

I found these crabs along the  Theo Wirth Parkway by my house, very close to where my pondle images were taken.  I feel very lucky that I live in such a beautiful area.

I am particularly amused by this variety of tree.  I have one in my back yard which likes to grow one inch a year and will not drop its fruit until May the following Spring.  I never see any birds or other animals eating any of the fruit throughout the Winter (which I'm afraid will be here any day now).  It just seems like a weird little tree.

I like the little round dots in various degrees of focus.  It also makes me want to play Hi-Ho Cherry-O! with my nephews, or maybe just a pick-up game at the park by the chess players.

About Me

My photo
Minneapolis, MN, United States
Photographer/Artist based in Mpls, MN. I have a studio in the NE Arts District--Studio #274 at the Northrup King Bldg, 1500 Jackson St NE. I photograph elements of nature to explore color, shape, and composition. My goal is to capture images of the nature around me in a way that explodes (or seaps) with beauty. If that nature is in a vacant city lot, all the better. (All images Copyrighted. Use permitted with permission).
