An nice little bit of excitement for me, I survived the online public juried competition at www.projekt30.com to be included in the June 2008 Exhibit. Projekt30 is an online gallery where members pay a fee, like ya do for all juried competitions, you submit images for the various themes for the monthly exhibits, and then the public voting starts.
Viewers-anyone from the artists and their friends to gallery owners-rate the work submitted and a score between 27 and 123 is tallied. The top 30 of the 200+ who submit each month move to round two where there work is exhibited for a month in a virtual show.
I have had a few setbacks recently with juried competitions, so I am excited to be included in in the Projekt30 exhibit.

I am working out of a new studio space in the Northrup King Building in NE Mpls. Instead of being in the back of this weird maze of empty hallways on the 4th floor of this building, where I was for the past year, I am now in a really convenient location on the 2nd floor, room 274. It's the first door on the left as you enter NKB.
Please come visit me for the 1st Thursday Open Studio Tours on 6/5 from 5:30 to 9:00. The place might be bit disorganized, still, from the move, but it will be exciting--because it is new.
Everyone should become familiar with Megan Bell's paintings as well. I am her new studio mate and a big fan of hers.
Beautiful. The average person has no idea what dry ice looks like. I'm glad I found this blog—through your lovely and talented wife, Sal.
