Leaf Balls of Spring

I have never really paid much attention to the trees prior to the leaves becoming full-on leaves.  Usually, I'll find myself driving to work or something, then it's, "Holy Crap! When did Spring get here?"

This year I am paying more attention.  I like these leaf balls.  In 3 days, this shot could not be found.  I think the vertical panoramic is interesting, too.  I don't know of a lot of vertical panoramics that are not photographs of skyscrapers.

Anyway, I'm trying to replicate some of the feel of my water images without using water.  Not all of the images in the this series worked out--many are just too busy.  Busy like bees, which you can see in this photo if you enlarge it enough.

As I suspected, it is much easier and more enjoyable to see this image as you've taken in than through a tiny telescope made by my hands.

About Me

My photo
Minneapolis, MN, United States
Photographer/Artist based in Mpls, MN. I have a studio in the NE Arts District--Studio #274 at the Northrup King Bldg, 1500 Jackson St NE. I photograph elements of nature to explore color, shape, and composition. My goal is to capture images of the nature around me in a way that explodes (or seaps) with beauty. If that nature is in a vacant city lot, all the better. (All images Copyrighted. Use permitted with permission).
