Bread-faced Girl - Chicago, IL
This year I spent my 44
th birthday in the Chicago-land area. That's where my wife,
Sally, is from. As is my tradition, I get up early, grab my birthday tunes--this year it was the Bell Rays--and drive around looking for things to photograph. I first made a stop at White Castle because I did not know if I would be able to get there again that day.
I came across the bread-faced girl on some random (to me) side street. It was like a gift, something unexpected.
I stopped by Second Hand Tunes in Evanston, IL, which was absolutely the inspiration for the movie High Fidelity (John Cusack grew up there I am told) and I purchased a bunch of music including Pink Floyd's The Wall. If you have not listed to it in awhile, go back and do so. It is truly amazing even after 30 years.
