Crab Apple New Leaves, But The Apples Are Dying

2 April 09 #01
This particular crab apple tree kept most of its fruit through the Minnesota Winter, but now new leaves are budding, which creates a curious mix of new life with the dying.  I'll be watching this tree to see what happens to the fruit as the new blossoms arrive.  Perhaps the old fruit will become fertilizer for itself.

About Me

My photo
Minneapolis, MN, United States
Photographer/Artist based in Mpls, MN. I have a studio in the NE Arts District--Studio #274 at the Northrup King Bldg, 1500 Jackson St NE. I photograph elements of nature to explore color, shape, and composition. My goal is to capture images of the nature around me in a way that explodes (or seaps) with beauty. If that nature is in a vacant city lot, all the better. (All images Copyrighted. Use permitted with permission).
