Trees - In and Out of Focus #2

Birch #1
In order to not get in a rut shooting only Chinese Elm Trees, I thought I'd look around at what else the forest (err, park) had to offer.  And I think I also need to do a little homework on what trees I'm actually photographing.  This one is probably a birch.  I like it.

I really enjoy standing in the middle of all the branches and watching the dappled light fall around me.  I think the close-up blurry bits help with the feel of being consumed by nature.

I'm still in the process of defining this Tree Project, so I am interested in what you think.  The hardest part of photographing for me is finding the vocabulary to describe it.

About Me

My photo
Minneapolis, MN, United States
Photographer/Artist based in Mpls, MN. I have a studio in the NE Arts District--Studio #274 at the Northrup King Bldg, 1500 Jackson St NE. I photograph elements of nature to explore color, shape, and composition. My goal is to capture images of the nature around me in a way that explodes (or seaps) with beauty. If that nature is in a vacant city lot, all the better. (All images Copyrighted. Use permitted with permission).
